Wildacres Retreat 2010

Many ACL members and guests enjoyed our 15th retreat at Wildacres. The presenter, Leon Ognibene from Carolina Lakes, SC, informed and entertained us with science shows. Leon reminded me of Don Herbert (Mr. Wizard) , Carl Sagan (Cosmos) and Marlin Perkins (Zoo Parade) as he guided us on short trips through our world and the universe.

The weather in Little Switzerland was absolutely perfect. During our free time some of us toured the local area, some enjoyed cards and conversation with new and old friends, and some enjoyed hiking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

On the last evening we enjoyed a dance party on the patio under the stars.
